DIFFERENTIATE YOUR SELF
Differentiate Your Self
In a world dominated by norms, traditions and sameness it takes courage to be different. This was the exact kind of world Jesus Christ did ministry in. And, it is the exact kind of world we live in today. It is a world where the natural pull and pressure of the crowd can literally destroy your message, your potential, your calling, your ministry and your life if you let it. But you don’t have to let the peer pressure of the crowd destroy you if you are willing to get into this circle or realm of being that Jesus Christ operated in. He thrived and excelled on being different and unique. You can do the same. And when you do a whole new world will open up for you.
Jesus was not just different from others but He boldly proclaimed his differences. He said to a Samaritan woman at Jacobs well in John 4:13-14 “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” He is saying that the water he gives is different from any other water. In Revelation 1:17-18 Jesus says, “I am the living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and Hades.” Here Jesus is saying “I’m totally different from all others…I’m the perpetually living one…I’m the only one who was dead and is now alive forever.” Once again Jesus declares himself to be totally and completely different from all others.
