Build a List of Followers and Lead

When Jesus went to a disciple and said “Follow Me,” He was operating in the circle of bold leadership. By entering in the elite circle of leaders you position yourself as one who has answers, solutions and direction for the people who will follow you. And, if you really want to sell you must start being a leader. By operating effectively in this circle you will begin to establish a more powerful relationship with the prospects within your target market. You will actually distinguish yourself as the “goto person” who cares enough to become the trusted, fiduciary advisor who is committed that your prospects have a really great life. Leaders are the ones who really “know the way, go the way and are willing to show the way.”

Just pause for a moment and think about the product or service you want to sell. Before you ever begin selling you must have list of followers who know you, like you and trust you. That’s because people buy and do business with leaders they know, like and trust. So in order to build your list of followers you must first assume the posture of a powerful leader. Enter into the sphere. Take on being the one who can speak a transforming word of hope, encouragement, support, guidance and direction to the people who have joined your list. Really become their servant and look for ways to enhance their lives and bless them freely.

 

When you do this you will see many beginning to follow you. Notice that haven’t unsubscribed from your newsletter or drip campaign have they? Believe me, that’s because they are finding tremendous value and benefit from what you’re offering them. And, your establishing yourself as the expert in your field who has some real legitimate answers and solutions. Oh and by the way…
You can always know whether or not you are doing this the right way. Just look at your list. Is it growing day by day? Are more and more people following you daily? 
Somebody once said, “If you call yourself a leader and yet nobody is following you then you’re merely taking a walk.” You must focus on developing a list of people from all walks of life who will opt into your list and follow you, listen to you and believe in you. They must become brand advocates of you, your message, your ideas, your philosophies, your services, your products and your offers. They must come to see you as their most trusted fiduciary advisor when it comes to your market niche.
